Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Aidan Briggs began his performing career in 10th grade after auditioning for his schools production of The Wizard of Oz where he played the Tin Man. Throughout high school he began participating in community theater where he played roles such as Frederick in Pirates of Penzance, Rooster in Annie and Marius in Les Miserables. Aidan later played Jack Kelly in the Delaware Premier of Disney's Newsies, where he received the Broadway World Regional Award for 'Best Lead Actor in a Musical.' He later received the same award for his role of Che in a local Maryland production of Evita.
After high school, Aidan moved to New York City where he graduated from The King's College with a BoA in Media, Culture, and The Arts with a Concentration in the Performing Arts. While in college he had the pleasure of performing in Songs for a New World, [title of show] where he played Hunter, and Carousel where he played Billy Bigelow. For his senior project, Aidan put on a solo concert in which he sang songs from Sunset Boulevard, Phantom of the Opera, Sunday in the Park with George, Les Miserables, Amazing Grace and more.
Some of Aidan's more recent performances include Dmitry in Anastasia with Sceneworks Studios, as well as having performed at The Grand Opera House in Wilmington, Delaware in 2023 and '24 for AARP Delaware's Andrus Award presentations. Aidan also had the honor of opening for Broadway and West End star Ramin Karimloo at the City Winery in New York City.
During the Covid-19 lockdown, he took part in two online live-streamed readings with Delaware's City Theater Company, where he read for the role of Jack in the play Comfort and Joy, and Cheyenne Ford in the play Two Chairs.
In his spare time back home in Delaware, Aidan performs with Sew Classy Royal Events, a professional character entertainment company whose goal is to inspire children to be kind, creative, courageous, and follow their dreams.
